About.
The new Kate Islander has been specially designed to meet the needs of demanding island terrains. More robust and equipped with enhanced torque, it delivers optimized power to easily climb hills and handle the uneven roads typical of island landscapes.
While its top speed is slightly reduced, this version prioritizes versatility and control, featuring specially adapted tires for better grip on irregular, sandy, or wet surfaces. The result: a more reliable, more stable vehicle, perfectly built for island life.
Kate Islander vs Kate Cruiser : Coastal performance, reinvented.
The Kate Cruiser and Kate Islander are lightweight, fully electric micro-cars designed for coastal life. Both share Kate’s corrosion-protected steel structure, open-air design, and long-life LFP battery offering a range of 235 km according to the WMTC cycle, or 130 km on a standard urban cycle.
The Kate Cruiser is the smooth, elegant choice for flat seaside roads.
The Kate Islander adds 20% more torque for stronger acceleration, easier hill climbing, and enhanced engine-braking, with a controlled 60 km/h top speed for stability on steep terrain.
The Kate Islander also introduces a new Bluetooth radio and marine-grade audio system: 100 W, waterproof, fully sealed, and available as an option on both models.
Together, they offer durable, zero-emission mobility built for life by the ocean.
